Injured In a Car Accident?
Following an automobile accident, there may be a lot of confusion because of the complexity of process that is required. Besides damages to your car, you are also having to deal with pains associated with the injury and filing the paperwork.
The day of the accident, you may have quite a bit of discomfort immediately following the accident. Or you may only feel, “some” pains in the neck, back arms or legs. Sometimes, delayed inflammatory process following an injury can tend to mask the severity of the injuries that a person may have sustained during the accident. Many accident victims go to the Hospital Emergency Rooms, following an accident, with “some” pains. However, the accident victims are usually instructed to monitor themselves because the symptoms from the injuries are likely to get worse.
Auto accidents are an unfortunate aspect of life. Injuries resulting from auto accidents can range from minor abrasions to more severe injuries like whiplash and acute low back pain. Auto accidents are one of the most severe traumatic incidents that a body can be subjected to. During an accident several traumatic forces are put on the body.

- “Who can help me with my injuries?”

- “If the driver of the other car is uninsured, how do I get what I need taken care of?”
- “What do I do with all of this complicated paperwork from the Insurance Company?”

Chiropractic Care for Auto Accident Injury
Sudden excessive forces as in auto accidents can cause many injuries to the human body including muscles, tendons, ligaments, discs, nerves, and moving bones of the spinal column out of their proper relational position. This misalignment is called a spinal subluxation. The most common symptoms of whiplash include neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, stiffness or limited mobility in the neck and back, headache, dizziness, numbness, tingling, radiating pain down the arm(s) and/or leg(s), jaw pain, and fatigue. If these misalignments and injured connective tissues heal in a misaligned position with scars, it can cause a persistent irritation as this area of the spine attempts to go through its normal range of motion. This irritation can become a stronger and sharper pain and even begin radiating down from the spine into the shoulder(s), arm(s) or hand(s), the lower back, thigh(s), and/or leg(s). If uncorrected or untreated, these damaged tissues and supporting structures can lead to accelerated disc degeneration and development of degenerative arthritis. For this reason it is very important to have a proper evaluation after being involved in even a minor accident. The earlier the injury is treated, the greater the possibility of faster and complete recovery.
