Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic Adjustments Are Essential

june2015-Vol-5.1-summerskin_640-hwn.jpgSpinal joints that aren’t moving right can irritate nearby nerves. Chiropractic adjustments improve motion to these stuck joints, reducing nervous system disruption. Then, health has the best opportunity to return.

Like lifting a heavy rock off your toe, people often report a pleasant sense of release following their adjustments.

Many Techniques

Sometimes a specific, highly-accurate thrust is used. Or an instrument delivers carefully directed adjustment. Or a slow, constant pressure is used. Several areas may be adjusted, or just one. Sometimes a popping sound is heard.

Our rehab or muscle treatment utilizes Integrative Physical Medicine including:

  • Active & Passive Myofascial Release for chronic trigger points or knots.
  • Dynamic and static stretching to improve shortened and tighten muscle and soft tissues.
  • Muscle activation to increase strength of weaken musculature and soft tissues.

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes.  American Chiropractic Association and a New Zealand government study found that adjustments are “remarkably safe.” Chiropractic care enjoys an excellent track record. Most people report a sense of well-being or a feeling of calmness after treatment.

Can I have chiropractic care after back surgery?

Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, surgery may produce compensation reactions either above or below the involved level. If necessary, these other areas will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
